Our Story
In 2005, Scenthound founders Tim and Jessica Vogel embarked on this journey, driven by their profound love for dogs.
They initially started a mobile dog grooming business and later expanded to include grooming salons. Along the way, they met thousands of dogs and their parents and noticed that many breeds — especially the 90% that don’t require regular haircuts — weren’t getting essential, consistent care. While not every dog requires traditional grooming or haircuts, every single dog benefits from basic hygiene like bathing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, and dental care.
Recognizing that many dog parents were either unaware of their dog’s needs or faced challenges finding a practical and affordable solution, they took matters into their own hands and founded Scenthound to bridge this massive gap in the industry.
